New River Presbytery has called Alan Hager to serve as church planter for the Buckhannon mission. Alan is an experienced pastor with a background in Young Life and campus ministry along with leading a medium size congregation and assisting with church planting. He is an approved church planter through the Mission to North America Assessment program. He is married to Katherine and they have two children, Kristen and Michael. Katherine works for a national pro-life organization, NIFLA, which provides legal support and training resources to 1,500 crisis pregnancy centers across the country. They believe God has particularly prepared them through their background in the church, outreach and evangelism, and community service to lead the new ministry in Buckhannon.
Rev. Alan Hager
Nicklaus serves as the Pastoral Assistant of Grace Church. Some of his responsibilities include media development, aiding in worship services and assisting Pastor Alan with regular ministerial duties within the church. He and his wife, Brooke, have one child, Ezra J. Hart. They are expecting their second in June. The three of them live in Elkins, WV, their hometown, and feel especially called to small-town church planting. Nicklaus plans to attend seminary in the Fall.
